The author’s mom, Lil Lois, was born more than ninety years ago. To hear her mom tell of her early years was exciting, and, at times, hard to believe because it was so different from the world we live in today. Without amenities such as indoor running water and electricity, one would think those were hard times. Instead, each evening they enjoyed family time by reading books, playing games, and just enjoying one another’s company.
Like her mom, the author is family-oriented with strong values and patriotism. Going to church was always a top priority with both ladies. The author is outgoing and has many friends and is adventurous. So much so that together she and her mom rode mules to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up.
